Biography

As I jump off the front of the 6 foot high stage I realize I just shared the same experience as Country Superstar Alan Jackson will have in 20 minutes when he performs at the sold out US Cellular Pavilion in New Hampshire. 6000 plus fans are cheering as I finish my set and I come out to meet the fans in the first few rows”. “Opening the show on the main stage with Alan was such a great experience and a great way to put the finishing touch on the 2009 gig season” says Burdick, which included shows with Jason Aldean, Josh Turner, Love & Theft, Steve Azar and multiple shows with Leann Rimes & Buddy Jewell. “Whether it is 50 or 5000 I love entertaining and seeing happy people enjoying themselves, it is a life’s passion of mine to do this for a living”.

Chad Arthur Burdick hails from New England where music was a part of his life at a very young age.  “My father used to play piano and the guitar at family gatherings and parties.  I used to watch him with such awe and amazement and it was through him that I first realized my dream was to entertain people.”  As he got older, Chad would run home after school to sing as inspiration also came to him through the old 8-tracks of Elvis Presley that his father had. In early 2000, Chad joined the New England based Country Mile Band.  During the next 4 years, Chad and his band were awarded honors for Best Country Act in the Worcester Magazine Sound Awards, as well as a nomination in the prestigious Boston Music Awards for Best Country Act.

In 2005, Burdick embarked on a solo career performing original music and covering some of the more popular country artists as well as his icon, the “King”.  Burdick went into the studio to create his debut solo CD.   “What’s In Store,” a five-song studio EP, with five additional bonus cuts recorded live in concert, in Southbridge, Massachusetts was the result.  He went on the road to promote his new album and found himself nominated for another Boston Music Award in 2006 and Worcester Magazine nomination in 2007!  He also received airplay on nationally yndicated radio show “After Midnight with Blair Garner”.  His touring route has spanned from

Maine to Virginia opening for the likes of Country superstars: Montgomery Gentry, Lone Star, Lee Ann Womack, Charlie Daniels, Phil Vassar, Jamie O'Neal, Chris Cagle, Tracy Byrd, Bo Bice, Miranda Lambert, Andy Griggs, Jeff Bates, Lee Roy Parnell, Brian McComas, Billy Currington, Josh Gracin, Restless Heart, The Warren Brothers, The Bellamy Brothers, Leon Russell, The Nashville Star Tour.

In the spring of 2007, after a 6 month break from music Chad was ready to go again.  “I had some family challenges to deal with but finally went back to work putting a band together and learning how to play guitar.”  Burdick soon found himself opening for Reba McEntire. “Sharing the stage with Reba and her fans was so much fun and a great lesson for me.”  I had not given up and by sticking to what I knew I was born to do a great opportunity came to me.” Burdick ended up booking a full summer show schedule once again expanding his fan base outside of the New England Area.

Burdick released his first new album in three years with “Whiskey in the River” in late spring 2009.  Whiskey in the River is the title track from the upcoming album.  We all go through challenges in life; it is how we deal with them that will determine our lives outcome.”  With the release of his new CD and his ever expanding popularity, summer 2009 was a very busy one for Chad. Opening for numerous national acts as well as headlining his own concerts. "It has been a lot of fun meeting so many new fans. This is what artists dream about and I have been so fortunate this past year" says Burdick.

Plans for a new cd in 2012 are already in the works. One things for sure, 2011-12 looks to be a very exciting time for Chad and his band, with new music and an ever growing fan base things couldn't be better.
